“Forgive!”
The order came
From God on high. Look for

The Dad
Trembled, cause Dad
He was not. He was just father.

She forgave

That venom spewed forth spits
Back at the snake? Beware of what
You sow

The Mack
Truck flattened me
But I – like a cartoon,
Boing! – am back in 3-D.

Inspired
I’m not. No muse
Have I. But dreams, oh yes!
At first, mere wisps, then lusty-made
By love

I’m bruised
But not beat down
I am a winner still
Like trampled grass, again I spring

Not yet,
But soon…the gloom
Disintegrates. The murk,
The mire is gone. At last I am
Transformed
Into
The true, the real
Completely fabulous
And incandescent me
I glow with polished radiance
Like dawn
