So many times I’ve been on the edge
Filled with despair and hopelessness
But just as I was about to give up
He came through for me
Found me a job, now I get a check
Used to be sick: gave me perfect health
No more pain
No more rain
He came through for me
So when you’re feeling overwhelmed
Confused; a little stressed
Put your thoughts and prayers with God
And for sure you will be blessed

So many dreams thought I’d never live
People around me so negative
Happiness felt like it was a myth
But He came through for me
Gave me His Love that is so Divine
Handed me back all my peace of mind

Though the world seems barren
Life is full of storms
Feel buried by your problems
Always attracting harm
Things don’t have to be that way,
My Child, not in the least

My Father,
I come to You tonight, life heavy on my mind
