Manifest Your Intentions September 16, 2007

I just got off the phone from talking to my Mom. What a phenomenal woman! Now that I am out of my rebellious phase (smile) I can fully appreciate her knowledge and experience, and admit that, at least 95% of the time, she’s right. Here’s the wisdom she blessed me with today. It’s all about manifesting your intentions:

Focus on your heart’s desires.
This is not being selfish; it is an act of self-love, and love always generates more love. Love yourself in this way and the Universe will bless you a thousand-fold.

State your intentions to the Universe in the present tense.
Once you have focused on and identified your desires, ASK for what you want. Place your order to the Universe. Stating in the present tense is vital, as it tells your subconscious that your desire is already manifest and makes it easier for the Universe to bring your wishes to pass on the physical plane.

Be specific.
Do you want to “work in construction” or to be an architect? Do you desire to be a writer or an author? Are you in search of “a little more money” (which could result in you finding two pennies on the bathroom floor), or multimillions? In Eat, Pray, Love, my new favorite book, one of the characters asked God to open his heart…and ended up having open heart surgery. ‘Nuff said.

Dig deeper.
Once you have stated or written the first draft of your intention, ask yourself why. Why do you want more money, why do you want to have more space, why do you want a new home? What will you do with your blessings once you receive them? What problem will they really be solving for you? Dig deeper. The answers could surprise you…and help you further refine your request.

Cooperate and implement.
Once you have asked, be open to receive. Listen to yourself and your inner voice. Once you get the guidances, act on them. Make that call. Go down that street you’ve never traveled on before. You never know what’s waiting on the other side. As they say in the church “Don’t block your blessings”.

Give thanks.
Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude. This is one of the most vital elements. Recognize when you have been blessed, take a moment to acknowledge, and then give thanks. Appreciation always reaps greater reward, and puts you on the path to even more abundant blessings.

Peace, Love, Light and Abundant Blessings,

Lisa
