Miracles January 16, 2008

Jesus sprinkles miracles
Across our paths each day
Do we choose to notice them
Or do we look away?
Do we choose to hear the angels
Sing out loud their proud refrain
Or just dismiss th’angelic kiss
As simply noisome strain?

Every day I do not fail
To make my highest choice
I turn within and listen to
My Holy Father’s Voice
He decides and he provides
My cup is always full
And I express my gratitude
For every miracle

Every time we let Divine
Intention have Its Way
We invite God to ignite
In us a Holy Flame
A blaze that raises in our hearts
A love that can’t be swayed
A radiant bliss forgiveness brings
A peace that’s Heaven-made

Every day I do not fail
To make my highest choice
I turn within and listen to
My Holy Father’s Voice
He decides and he provides
My cup is always full
And I express my gratitude
For every miracle

The Power of Prayer – A Miraculous Intercession October 16, 2007

Today I heard a story that reminded me of the power of prayer.

My friend Rekha has been going through a lot of stuff lately, the most recent of which is that her Mom was diagnosed with tuberculosis a few weeks ago. The entire family has been panicked, and a bit scared, not sure whether her body, already weakend by a heart condition, would be able to rid itself of the illness without an even worse outcome resulting…

Rekha, whom I can best describe as a Christian-Hindu-Spiritual-Energetic healer, was was unable to go and visit her Mom for several reasons, and was going through all of the requisite guilt and remorse. But instead of wallowing in that, she called on an old buddy of hers: Jesus.

At first, she started out kind of sheepishly, a bit guilty over her long silence: “Hey there. Know we haven’t spoken for a while, but here’s the thing…”. But then she got over that whole guilt thing – so unnecessary – and just prayed.

Over the course of about a week, she prayed constantly for Jesus to intercede on her behalf, as she could not physically be there herself, and heal her Mom. She asked for him to gently, completely, painlessly and effortlessly remove all traces of TB from her Mother’s body. Just draw it out of her chest. And he did. She asked, believing, and received.

About a week-and-a-half later, you already know what the scans revealed: not a trace, not a single trace of TB anywhere on her Mother’s chest or lungs. The doctors are still mystified at how it all cleared up so quickly…

I am so glad that Rekha shared this with me. Gives me hope.
